I have this monthly cycle of productivity where I begin with a clean(ish) house, lots of ambitions, things to post, and stuff to do. It gradually gets out of hand until I spend a weekend getting it all back together again. My posts are also victims of this cycle. So I tend to blog in bursts of productivity. I’m trying to work on entries a little bit at a time when I have a moment, but that’s still kind of a new strategy so I’m not sure it’s helping so much.

It seems like I’m always missing the moment. I rarely get my stuff up in a timely manner. The longer I wait to post the harder it is to get everything together (because I forget the details and whatnot).

I’ve always got like 20 things backlogged that I *want* to post about but never get to. I still have a draft for a post about “Animal hats” from this winter queued up in my drafts. I still haven’t finished my posts about the crab festival. I haven’t blogged at all about Buddha’s birthday, Hainan, or my trip to New Orleans when I was visiting back home, or the three or four cooking things that I’ve been meaning to post about forever.

Heh. Maybe I shouldn’t compare my blog to other blogs. I have blog envy. I just wish I was more organized and on top of things.

Tangent: I’ve been trying to get a bike for about two weeks now. I’m hoping to get one via G-market but since it’s 99.9% in Korean it’s taking me a while to figure out all the details. So that’s been the latest thing sucking up a lot of my online time. Hopefully I can blog about my new bicycle soon.
