Today is Teacher’s day or 스승의 날.
I’m pretty sure that none of my students are going to bring me anything. A bunch of students just came in to leave gifts for the other teachers (who are all gone on the field trip).
My school doesn’t seem to have anything special going on for the teachers such as a ceremony. It would be nice to enjoy a shorter day though.
The head of my department just left, and said that the Principal said teachers could go home early for Teacher’s Day – but she didn’t ask permission for me or for JY so we’re stuck here until he appears in his office again so that we can ask.
Since I have no classes to teach I’ve been sitting at my computer all day and I haven’t been nearly as productive as yesterday when I did the exact same thing.
JY just came back from the Principal who said we can go home early without any fancy approvals. Hooray.
