Year, 50,000 won notes would be good. I have been using the 100,000 and the 1,000,000 but with great difficulty. The 1,000,000 can only be changed down then used on the economy after going to the bank to break it. Don’t forget your passport or else forget even having a bank break it for you.

For the 100,000 won notes, they seem to be taken at various locations without problems. As for the 10,000 notes, bring your suitcase if your spending serious cash.

Had no idea a 50,000 was in the making. Let’s hope that can help us eliminate walking out of an exchange place with all those little white bags full of won notes worth little.
